The Corporate Counsel (Market Access and Pricing) provides strategic, business-focused legal and risk counseling to internal stakeholders on pricing, reimbursement, access, and trade/distribution of products for US and global markets.

Responsibilities:
- Advise on drug pricing, reimbursement, and market access, including federal supply schedule contracting and federal/state pricing requirements; compliance with government price laws and price reporting (Medicaid Drug Rebate, Medicare Part D Manufacturer Discount Program, 340B, etc.).
- Advise on arrangements/interactions with PBMs, health plans, employers, governments, and other payers.
- Provide legal guidance on trade/distribution strategies, patient support programs, state price reporting, government programs, rebate/discount arrangements, value-based agreements, and payer communications.
- Negotiate and draft relevant agreements.
- Provide legal guidance and oversight for third-party contractors supporting market access, invoicing/price reporting, and distribution.
- Manage outside counsel as needed (including ex-US).
- Serve as a secondary legal representative on the Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) Review Committee.

Other responsibilities may include:
- Support FDA promotional law issues; medical/marketing intersection; real-world evidence/data; federal healthcare compliance.
- Engage with government/regulators as needed and provide training on contracting and risk mitigation.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in trade/distribution, government pricing, payer contracting, or similar (firm/in-house; pharma/med device).
- J.D.; licensed in the US and permitted to practice law in California; active state bar membership.
- Deep fraud and abuse law knowledge (payer/PBM agreements).
- Experience with pharma competition, pricing, reimbursement, and access.
- Knowledge of government pricing programs (Medicaid Drug Rebate, 340B, Federal Supply Schedule, etc.) and applicable pharma sale/marketing regulations.
- Excellent communication; strong analytical/strategic thinking; business acumen; conflict resolution; ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location/Work: Pasadena, CA; in office 5 days/week.
Compensation/Benefits: California pay range $200,000–$260,000; competitive salaries and an excellent benefit package.
