Purpose
- Efficiently create and execute consulting, sponsorship and/or promotional speaker contracts in line with company policies and business ethics.
- Manage end-to-end sponsorship and speaker program processes, including nominations, Fair Market Value (FMV), and contract execution.
- Create and maintain required contracting documentation per departmental and company policies.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with AbbVie policies and external guidelines (e.g., FDA, PhRMA).
- End-to-end management of sponsorship and speaker programs: approve requests, negotiate and execute consulting/promotional speaking and/or sponsorship contracts in a timely manner; manage in fast-paced environments.
- Identify and implement improved/standardized contracting practices; educate stakeholders; participate/lead cross-functional teams.
- Apply knowledge of academic/industry experiences to establish FMV and evaluate sponsorship requests.
- Develop and update standard contracting guidelines with minimal management review; maintain in-depth compliance knowledge.
- Build relationships across Legal, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, and R&D; analyze contracting metrics to meet KPIs and optimize processes.
- Expert use of tools/systems (e.g., SAP; SNAPP; collaboration/document sharing sites); manage stakeholders and external KOLs.
- Develop and negotiate agreements with KOLs, patients, advocacy executives, and non-profit organizations.
- Mentor junior employees; demonstrate leadership.
- Manage legal precedent agreements, contract templates (version control and updates), and template implementation into contracting systems (mapping and UI testing); evaluate nominations and FMV.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; paralegal certification desired.
- 4+ years total combined experience.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in negotiation, project management, and contracting.
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
- Ability to interface with employees and external HCPs, non-HCPs, patients, and non-profit organizations; cultural awareness for US and OUS.
