Control Systems Engineer

Role: Control Systems Engineer supporting manufacturing processes at 3M, with a focus on automation and control technology application in roofing granule production. Responsibilities: implement, troubleshoot, and optimize control systems including PLC, HMI, PID, and data acquisition; manage change processes; support plant controls, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives; coordinate with IT and project engineering teams; oversee controls-related capital projects. Requirements: Bachelor's in Engineering; minimum 5 years experience with PLC programming, industrial controls, automation in manufacturing, government, or military sectors. Preferred: advanced degrees in Electrical, Controls, or Systems Engineering; experience with Wonderware, Schneider Control Expert PLCs, ACP ThinManager; project management skills; strong communication. High-Value: industrial automation, manufacturing controls, plant support, systems integration, safety, and Lean processes. Location: On-site in Corona, CA, with up to 10% domestic travel.
