Computational design of biological experiments for model development

Role: Senior Research Scientist focused on biological foundation models to advance AI-designed drug development. Responsibilities: characterize model performance, investigate data effects, develop meaningful biological evaluations and benchmarks, design experiments (in silico and lab-based), analyze and visualize data, and guide model/data improvements by collaborating with biologists and AI researchers. Requirements: PhD in computational biology, machine learning, bioinformatics, or related field; strong quantitative and statistical skills; experience analyzing high-throughput sequencing data; programming in Python; proven ability to conduct rigorous scientific investigations. Preferred: 3+ years post-PhD research experience in computational biology or ML. High-Value: expertise in generative foundation models, biological datasets (e.g., RNA-seq, genomics), and cross-disciplinary collaboration; focus on therapeutic design objectives. WorkSetup: primarily in-office with US/Europe collaboration; travel several times annually.
