Role Summary

The Compliance Associate Director supports the anti-corruption/anti-bribery Compliance program, conducts compliance-related investigations, and supports the company’s global healthcare fraud and abuse assurance program, including auditing and monitoring both transactionally and in real time. The role acts as the initial contact for business colleagues, supports global department initiatives, and requires knowledge of the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry and anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws, with experience in investigations and assurance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and continually improves global auditing and monitoring plans.
  • Shares auditing and monitoring results with business partners and recommends corrective actions.
  • Identifies and tracks themes and trends across audits/monitoring; prepares presentations for OBIE leadership and the business.
  • Manages and triages matters through the internal compliance Alert-Line tool and/or OBIE directly.
  • Leads and supports discrete, professional execution of compliance-related investigations.
  • Collaborates with HR and Litigation colleagues regarding compliance investigations.
  • Develops compliance training content.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with OBIE Business Partners, Internal Audit, Legal, and other functions globally.
  • Maintains current knowledge of laws and regulations and educates business units with tailored communications.
  • Supports continuous improvement of the Global Compliance Program.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Required: Typically 8–10 years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry in private practice/consulting, in-house, or a combination
  • Required: Ability to travel approximately 15–20% of the time
  • Preferred: CPA, CFE or JD
  • Preferred: Experience with anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws and pharmaceutical regulations and guidance
  • Preferred: Operations and project management experience
  • Preferred: Demonstrated strong commitment to compliance, ethics, and accountability
  • Preferred: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong work ethic
  • Preferred: Proficiency in MS Office (especially XLSX and PPT)
  • Preferred: Advanced English language skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPA, CFE or JD preferred
