Competitive Intelligence Senior Associate, Inflammation
Responsibilities:
- Lead intelligence gathering for US and Global marketing teams supporting multiple assets across Amgen’s General Medicine and Inflammation Business Unit.
- Synthesize information from multiple sources to develop strategic insights and a point of view on competitive developments, implications, and required actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; manage changing priorities across key customers.
- Partner with global Product Teams to define business problems and develop coordinated analysis plans.
- Collect, analyze, and report competitive intelligence using primary and secondary data to generate insights.
- Educate customers on CI-relevant market dynamics (e.g., reimbursement, regulations).
- Organize and facilitate strategic exercises and competitive simulations.
- Coordinate CI collection at major medical conferences/congresses.
- Manage a network of primary data sources (vendors and Amgen employees).
- Ensure accuracy/relevance/quality of deliverables and communicate level of evidence.
- Present regular in-depth analyses and recommendations to brand/business partners.
- Educate new employees on CI value and coach/promote CI.
- Support other functions with competitive intelligence/strategy; travel 15–20%.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree + 2 years consulting/competitive intelligence/biopharma OR Associate’s degree + 6 years OR High school/GED + 8 years.
Preferred:
- Commercial competitive intelligence/biopharma experience; business/client focus; strategic and analytical skills; strong communication; project management; knowledge of biopharma databases and marketing concepts; related consulting experience.
