What You Will Achieve
Manage Pfizer’s vivarium within the Comparative Medicine team to ensure flawless animal care and welfare and quality of the animal facility environment in compliance with local regulations and AAALAC International.

How You Will Achieve It
- Assure laboratory animal care and welfare comply with local regulations and AAALAC International guidelines.
- Manage and engage animal care and technical staff; ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Support staff career/personal development.
- Assist with centralized CM training for animal care staff, principal investigators, and research technicians.
- Support centralized CM occupational health and safety program for individuals with significant contact with research animals.
- Promote animal care culture and application of the 3Rs; evaluate animal-welfare aspects of projects.
- Interface with the research community customer and provide basic to complex technical services.
- Collect operational metrics; share best practices and standardize operations across sites.
- Develop/implement quality assurance programs; manage operating budgets; purchase capital equipment/supplies; manage physical resources.

May be required to work under: USDA Animal Welfare Act/regulations and standards, Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, Good Laboratory Practices, Public Health Service Policy, and/or AAALAC accreditation.

Qualifications
Must-Have: BS/BA + 5–7 years OR MA/MBA/MS + 3–6 years OR PhD with <2 years; LATG certification required; supervisory experience; demonstrated technical skills.
Nice-to-Have: CMAR certification preferred; supervisory experience in a pharmaceutical setting.

Essential Personnel role; may need weekends.

Compensation/Benefits
Base salary: $99,200–$165,400; Global Performance Plan bonus target 12.5%; eligibility for share-based long-term incentive; 401(k) with company match, additional retirement contribution, paid vacation/holidays/personal days, caregiver/parental and medical leave, and medical/prescription/dental/vision coverage.
