Comparative Medicine Operation Manager

Role: Research & Development Comparative Medicine (CM) Manager overseeing vivarium operations, animal welfare, and compliance. Responsibilities: ensure animal care in accordance with regulations and AAALAC guidelines, manage and develop animal care staff, support training programs, promote the 3Rs principles, facilitate research project evaluations for animal welfare, coordinate technical services with research teams, and manage operational metrics, budgets, and resources. Requirements: BS/BA with 5-7 years, MS/MBA with 3-6 years, or PhD with <2 years experience; LATG certification mandatory; supervisory experience required. Preferred: CMAR certification; experience in pharmaceutical or research animal settings. High-Value: focus on laboratory animal welfare in a research context, regulatory compliance (USDA, PHS, AAALAC), and operational excellence within a biopharma R&D environment. Work setup: On premise; essential personnel role with possible weekend work; relocation support available; US-based employment only.
