Summary/Role
- Territory Manager supporting veterinary clinics, shelter facilities, and corporate accounts by selling the Animal Health Companion Animal product portfolio, supporting pull-through activities, and providing value through technical innovations aligned to โThe Science of Healthier Animals.โ
Essential Accountabilities
- Communicate product portfolio value meaningfully for each customer; tailor discussions to customer needs.
- Act as primary point of contact; meet decision makers and identify business opportunities.
- Develop customer strategies and account plans to drive sales growth.
- Partner with National Account Managers, Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners to grow key accounts and corporate owned clinics.
- Collaborate on a โOne companyโ approach; share knowledge across the region.
- Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget.
- Select programs/services to meet customer needs; provide education and training.
- Work with leadership/Field Professional Services to develop and deliver offerings.
- Stay current on products, industry trends, and competitors; communicate trends appropriately.
- Meet agreed learning and development objectives.
Background & Education
- High school diploma + 5+ years relevant experience (sales, distribution, marketing, military, or veterinary/healthcare/scientific), OR Bachelorโs degree with 0โ3 years sales experience.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent communication/presentation; results-driven; collaborative.
- Ability to understand evolving customer needs; apply selling techniques; manage multiple accounts.
- Develop/manage diverse (including complex) accounts and plans.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; iPad; independent and team work.
- Overnight travel and some weekend activity.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
- Sales/Animal Health industry experience; knowledge of animal health biologics/pharmaceuticals.
- Distribution experience; Spanish (multilingual) preferred.
