Responsibilities:
- Support development of pain therapy area and market access insights by analyzing trends in the evolving market access landscape to drive in-line brands and pipeline advancements.
- Execute analytics to inform U.S. market access in-market growth activities within Pain (e.g., evaluating in-market analogues for strategy, pricing & contracting, payer/PBM landscape, clinic/hospital economics).
- Conduct payer access analytics to quantify/validate market access trends, competitor tactics, deal performance, and customer behaviors (e.g., utilization management, coverage trends, policy impacts, YOY trends, claims analysis).
- Evaluate impact of Pain Patient Support Program out-of-pocket cost support programs (e.g., commercial fill rate impact, Medicaid Part D coverage, limited voucher programs, external savings scenarios).
- Analyze retail stocking metrics using IntegriChain EDI 852 and 867 data and IQVIA dispense data, combined with claims data to understand inventory/stock levels, forecast stocking metrics, and visualize trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DTE and GIACO) to interpret business trends and enable data-driven storytelling.
- Partner with market access teams (Market Access Strategy, Pricing, Analytics & Contract Management, payer field teams) to integrate insights into strategic discussions.
- Drive pain data quality initiatives and maintain regular reporting/dashboarding (monitoring for anomalies, investigating/remediating variances, performing maintenance/upgrade activities).
- Lead pain technology and infrastructure requests with DTE (requirements gathering/translation, user acceptance testing).
- Collaborate with payer field teams to respond to data inquiries and provide account-level metrics.
- Communicate key findings related to utilization management, tiering, and formulary/medical policy changes and their impact on market access.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Finance) required; MBA/MS/PhD preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in biotech/pharma industry or biopharma consulting focused on Managed Markets, Market Access, or healthcare analytics.
- 3+ years developing analytics that inform value/access/reimbursement/contracting strategies.
- Proficiency in data analytics and U.S. Market Access strategies (payer account management, channel dynamics, reimbursement models).
- Experience with syndicated Market Access databases (e.g., IQVIA Xponent, MMIT) and distribution/shipment data (e.g., 852, 867, Integrichain).
- Strong analytics skills: Excel, SQL, PowerBI; Python and Snowflake a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to generate insights and support decision-making.
- Analytical thinker; strong written and verbal communication; ability to present insights to cross-functional teams and mid-level leadership.
- Flexible/adaptable in a fast-paced environment; supports financial forecasting, analytics, and commercial launch planning via data-driven insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masterโs degree (MBA, MPH, or quantitative) preferred.
- Understanding of state/federal policies, government programs impacting market access, and statutory government pricing methodologies.
- 6+ years pharmaceutical manufacturer market access experience; expertise with Health Plans, PBMs, Hospital Systems, Specialty Pharmacies, and healthcare policy stakeholders.
- Diverse U.S. product launch experience across therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
