Role: NGS co-op supporting Moderna's Platform Biology Integration team by optimizing RNA library preparation workflows for mRNA characterization and screening. Responsibilities: perform and evaluate NGS library prep, design experiments to improve efficiency and reproducibility, assess reagents and automation compatibility, analyze quality control data, document procedures, develop standardized protocols, and present findings. Requirements: enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genomics, or related; hands-on experience with RNA and NGS library prep; detail-oriented; capable of data analysis and effective communication; able to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred: experience developing or troubleshooting NGS workflows, analyzing NGS data, high-throughput screening, automation-compatible assays. High-Value: focus on RNA biology, NGS technology, assay optimization, and reproducible protocol development within a biotech setting. Work setup: hybrid in Cambridge, MA, with a 70/30 in-office culture; full-term availability from January to June 2027.
