Role Summary
This is a 6-month co-op in Biogen's Investor Relations team, focused on supporting investor relations initiatives and day-to-day activities to inform investors about Biogen's current performance, growth strategy, and future outlook. The role offers hands-on experience collaborating with internal teams and engaging with the broader investment community.
Responsibilities
- Perform Research and Analysis
- Assist in tracking and analyzing industry trends, competitor performance, and market dynamics.
- Assist in preparing materials to support investor presentations.
- Compile data and insights to contribute to quarterly earnings reports and other corporate disclosures.
- Support advancement of our Investor Relations AI initiative
- Work with IT and other stakeholders to develop an AI model to support IR activities including: content creation, equity analyst note summarization and sentiment analysis of planned IR/company messaging.
- Support Investor Communications
- Help draft key messages, press releases, and executive talking points for investor engagements.
- Support the creation and editing of presentations, fact sheets, and other investor-facing materials.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of messaging across all IR communications.
- Assist with event coordination
- Maintain schedules and logistics for investor-related engagements.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate with teams across Biogen, including Finance, Corporate Communications, and Legal, to ensure alignment and appropriateness of messaging.
Qualifications
- Required: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Required: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: Experience with AI model development.
- Required: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Required: At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
- Required: Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship.
Education
- Desired areas of study: Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Undergraduate class of 2027 graduate or masterβs degree student preferred.
