Role Summary

The CMC Project Manager is a key contributor of the CMC Project Excellence department to provide a world class performance of Sanofi CMC Project Management. The role enables efficient transversal collaboration within and outside of CMC, fostering aligned ways of working and creating synergies across CMC entities and platforms to ensure projects deliverables are met on time.

Responsibilities

  • Translate CMC strategy into an operational plan and deliverables
  • Operationalize the CMC strategy for a project into a CMC planning with optimal critical path
  • Develop CMC planning scenarios with OPCM, financial partner Demand & Supply Leader, and other project SMEs
  • Ensure feasibility and optimization of the CMC operational plan with Function representatives and communicate to the CMC team
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation planning
  • Integrate and deliver the supply plan within the CMC operational plan and align with strategy and overall project plan
  • Coordinate DS and DP delivery and release on time for internal and external production
  • Ensure execution, integration, and coordination of the CMC operational plan and monitor progress through operational meetings
  • Analyze, monitor, and report on CMC operational plan execution and define optimal plans for the critical path, proposing contingencies as needed
  • Contribute to project documents and governance meeting preparation (e.g., Technical Review, CMC Board, TARC, DWG, IDCC)
  • Promote and implement Good Project Management practices
  • Support Business Development Licensing-in and -out projects, including due diligence activities and data room preparation
  • Support transversal initiatives contributing to simplification, harmonization, and Project Excellence global actions

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering with at least 7+ years of relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Required: Past experience in project management
  • Required: Experience in managing international, multidisciplinary, and/or multicultural teams
  • Preferred: PhD or MSc (PharmaD)

  • Technical: Excellent knowledge of CMC development, R&D and industrial interfaces
  • Technical: Excellent project management skills
  • Technical: Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Technical: Ability to lead transverse multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
  • Technical: Excellent negotiation skills
  • Technical: Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS365, flow diagramming, MS Project, and Thinkcell
