General Summary:
The Project Management and Strategic Operations Director leads large-scale, high-value CMC programs end to end, driving planning, delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement. Coaches teams, strengthens project management capability, and partners on complex internal and external programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads program initiation, planning, governance, execution, and performance tracking for complex strategic programs.
- Oversees scope, timelines, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, stakeholder communication, and resource alignment to ensure delivery of business value.
- Provides direction to workstream leads and project managers; resolves escalated issues and supports decision-making in ambiguity.
- Oversees end-to-end program management across the full project lifecycle.
- Manages contingencies across multiple projects; monitors interdependencies and synergies.
- Builds detailed project plans and budgeting/forecasting/resource models; develops SOWs, stakeholder management plans, guiding principles, goals, risks, and roles/responsibilities.
- Secures and leads internal/external resources; establishes governance (sponsors/approvers/stakeholders).
- Participates in evaluation/selection/management of external vendors.
- Provides transparency on progress; anticipates and mitigates risks; crafts feasible solutions.
- Trains/coaches teams, develops tools and training methods to improve enterprise project management.
- Evaluates program costs/benefits, updates plans with current information, reports to leadership, monitors quality/adoption targets, and recommends/implements corrective actions.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong experience leading cross-functional medium- to large-scale programs/projects.
- Critical thinking; connects people, ideas, and data to drive outcomes.
- Ability to work across functions/organizational boundaries.
- Manages multiple priorities with timelines/budgets/status reporting.
- Excellent communication; synthesizes complex information into clear recommendations.
- Strong program/operational management with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity; leads complex decisions and change.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
