Cloud Network Engineer โ€“ Enterprise Connectivity

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing
- Deploy and operate enterprise-scale cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Build and maintain secure, scalable connectivity between data centers, telecom providers, and public cloud environments
- Implement network solutions supporting hybrid and multi-cloud workloads
- Collaborate with cloud network architects, network engineers, security engineers, and cloud engineers
- Design and operate cloud-native networking services, enterprise routing, and BGP route engineering
- Support network security, including next-generation firewalls and secure traffic flows
- Provide advanced technical support and serve as an escalation point for complex incidents
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support after-hours maintenance windows, cutovers, and incident escalations as required

How Youโ€™ll Succeed
- Engineer reliable, scalable connectivity using BGP, VPNs, intercloud networking, and MACsec
- Troubleshoot complex issues using Wireshark, traceroute, dig/nslookup, iperf, and traffic analysis utilities
- Leverage automation and infrastructure-as-code to standardize and scale deployments
- Collaborate with global teams and track work using Jira
- Follow ITSM best practices (incident, change, and request management)
- Maintain documentation and knowledge transfer

What You Should Bring / Basic Requirements
- Bachelorโ€™s degree and 5+ years of experience in cloud network service delivery/operations, routing, switching, and firewall operations
- Multi-cloud networking experience across at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP (native connectivity, routing, segmentation, DNS, load balancing)
- Hybrid and intercloud connectivity experience (data centers, carrier-neutral facilities, public clouds) using VPNs, BGP, MACsec, and telco circuits
- Network security & SD-WAN experience integrating Cisco SD-WAN, Palo Alto, F5, and cloud-native security/traffic-engineering solutions
- Data center & enterprise networking foundation (L2/L3, BGP/OSPF, next-gen firewalls in regulated global environments)
- Automation & operations experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, cloud CLIs, GitHub) with incident escalation and ServiceNow workflows
- Experience in highly regulated/enterprise-scale environments; prior escalation experience preferred
- Familiarity with ServiceNow
- Cloud networking certification (AWS/Azure/GCP), Cisco certification (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent), and IaC certification (Terraform or CloudFormation) strongly preferred

Additional Information
- 5โ€“10% travel required
- Indianapolis, Indiana (hybrid model; relocation required)

Application Instructions / Eligibility
- Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly will not provide sponsorship for work authorization/visas for this role.
