Clinical Trials Manager, Biomarker/Bioanalytical Operations

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key biomarker and bioanalytical operational (BBOps) contact for internal/external stakeholders for implementation of biomarker/bioanalytical strategies in Gilead and Collaborative programs.
- Participate in multiple Phase 1β4 clinical study teams.
- Plan and coordinate operational activities for collection, delivery, and analysis of biological specimens.
- Provide sample management expertise to Study Management Teams (SMTs), Biomarker SubTeams (BSTs), and Clinical Pharmacology Subteams (CPST).
- Ensure biological samples are of good analyzable quality and collected per ethics and informed consent standards.
- Manage day-to-day operational activities between SMT and laboratory vendors to ensure delivery against contracted scope.
- Critically evaluate scientific proposals/protocols and budgets for operational feasibility.
- Build cross-functional relationships and lead with counterparts to execute study biomarker strategy.
- Identify operational challenges and develop resolution plans to keep biomarker strategy on track.
- Organize and lead biomarker/bioanalytical operational meetings; maintain internal databases/document repositories.
- Review protocols, informed consents, and relevant study documents; explain protocol requirements to others.
- Contribute to RFPs and selection of CROs/vendors; may support special projects.
- Develop tools/processes to optimize efficiencies; contribute to recruiting/hiring and professional development.
- Support abstracts/presentations/manuscripts; contribute to strategic initiatives.
- Provide input into protocols, case report forms, informed consents, study plans, and presentations.
- Prepare interim/final study reports and resolve biomarker data discrepancies; ensure compliance with practices/policies.
- Travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 5 years of experience
OR
- Masterβs degree and 3 years of experience
