Clinical Trial Liaison, Director – West

Role: Lead and manage a regional Clinical Trial Liaison (CTL) team to enhance scientific engagement with US research sites, improve investigator understanding of AstraZeneca's pipeline, and facilitate study start-up, enrollment, and retention across multiple therapeutic areas, including Cardiovascular, Respiratory, and Infectious Disease. Responsibilities: develop regional field plans aligned with national strategies, coach and develop team performance, strengthen site engagement, foster cross-functional partnerships with Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, and global teams, and ensure field insights inform trial execution. Requirements: advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA-C), 3+ years in pharmaceutical or clinical research with leadership experience, expertise in clinical site logistics, investigator engagement, and FDA compliance, with strong communication and project management skills. Preferred: doctorate in biosciences or related field, prior Medical Affairs management, and experience in investigator outreach or trial support. High-Value: leadership in clinical trial engagement, site management, cross-functional collaboration, support across multiple indications and phases, with travel of 30-40%.
