Clinical Trial Liaison, Director – East

Role: Lead and manage a field-based Clinical Trial Liaison team to enhance scientific engagement with US research sites, improve investigator understanding of AstraZeneca's pipeline, and facilitate trial startup, enrollment, and retention. Responsibilities include translating national strategies into regional plans, coaching the team, strengthening investigator relationships, and fostering cross-functional partnerships to accelerate clinical trial progress across therapeutic areas such as Cardiovascular, Respiratory, and Infectious Diseases. The leader oversees team performance, talent development, site engagement, and resource management, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Qualifications: Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA-C) with 3+ years in pharmaceutical or clinical research, experience in clinical site engagement, team leadership, and knowledge of FDA/regulatory standards. Desirable: Doctorate in sciences, prior Medical Affairs or Field Medical leadership, and experience with investigator engagement and trial logistics. High-Value: Expertise in clinical trial site management, investigator relationships, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration within a US field-based setting.
