Responsibilities:
- Translate global clinical study demand into supply plans and ensure delivery of clinical finished goods to initiate trials on time and maintain patient continuity of supply.
- Design strategic and operational plans for assigned clinical studies (Protocol Manager) and/or clinical supplies across compound programs (Program Manager).
- Interact with Clinical Sciences/Study Management, Regulatory, CMC, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Formulation Development, and Global Development Quality on drug supply topics.
- Establish and maintain consolidated forecasts in SAP for bulk drug product and clinical finished goods.
- Use planning/management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, ADI logs, SAP forecasting) and collect clinical supply chain metrics.
- Initiate non-marketed (non-Merck) drug product planning for new protocols; support/lead issue escalation to leadership.
- Mentor team members; serve as lead business process owner/SME and drive process improvements.
- Protocol Manager: Partner with Clinical Trial Teams to negotiate timelines/strategy; establish protocol-level clinical supply timelines and signals for sourcing/manufacturing/packaging/distribution; author clinical supplies sections of study protocols; support Investigator Meetings; participate in IVR system development/UAT.
- Program Manager: Oversee bulk drug supply management and allocation; establish bulk manufacturing/release timelines; identify bulk supply risks; own program clinical supply budget; chair the Clinical Supply Program Team; author labeling/packaging and CMC-support documentation; ensure pipeline forecast resourcing.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (scientific, business, or related); MS/MBA preferred.
- 8+ years project management; 3+ years clinical supply planning/scheduling/coordination.
- Understanding of MRP systems and demand planning; strong organizational/time management/problem-solving.
- Results-oriented; exceptional written/verbal communication and relationship skills; high integrity.
- Proficiency: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word; change management; process improvement.

Preferred:
- Negotiation/conflict resolution; project management and clinical customer relationship management.
- Knowledge of drug development/production/distribution/shipping/destruction/reconciliation; order management, supply chain ops, document control.
- Team leadership; data analytics/visualization; SAP familiarity; GMP/SOP execution.
