Role Summary

Clinical Research Technician I - on-site in Daytona Beach, FL. Support the Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials, performing hands-on practical and administrative activities in line with protocol and regulatory requirements. Office-based position with opportunities to work on Phase 1 trials alongside leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on practical/administrative activities of clinical trials in Clinical Pharmacology in line with protocol and regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.
  • Phlebotomy skills (preferred, not required).
  • Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/Holterβ€šΓ„Γ΄s.
  • Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution of those samples.
  • Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants.
  • Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
  • Assist with screening procedures as needed.
  • Undertake any other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (or equivalent experience).
  • 0 β€šΓ„Γ¬ 1 year of clinical research experience.
  • CPR/AED Certification required.
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, including a computer keyboard, for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Must be able to stand and/or bend for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; comfortable working face-to-face with participants.
  • Technology-driven with data collection in an electronic environment.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (as listed above).

Additional Requirements

  • Physical requirements: ability to work upright/standing positions, lift up to 15-20 lbs, and perform repetitive hand movements.
  • Location: Daytona Beach, Florida; on-site; full-time or part-time roles available.
