Role Summary
Clinical Research Technician I - on-site in Daytona Beach, FL. Support the Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase clinical trials, performing hands-on practical and administrative activities in line with protocol and regulatory requirements. Office-based position with opportunities to work on Phase 1 trials alongside leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on practical/administrative activities of clinical trials in Clinical Pharmacology in line with protocol and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.
- Phlebotomy skills (preferred, not required).
- Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/HolterβΓΓ΄s.
- Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution of those samples.
- Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants.
- Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
- Assist with screening procedures as needed.
- Undertake any other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (or equivalent experience).
- 0 βΓΓ¬ 1 year of clinical research experience.
- CPR/AED Certification required.
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, including a computer keyboard, for up to 6 hours per day.
- Must be able to stand and/or bend for up to 6 hours per day.
- Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment with changing priorities.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; comfortable working face-to-face with participants.
- Technology-driven with data collection in an electronic environment.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (as listed above).
Additional Requirements
- Physical requirements: ability to work upright/standing positions, lift up to 15-20 lbs, and perform repetitive hand movements.
