The Obesity organization is seeking a Medical Director that will work with a team of physician-scientists that support evidence generation for obesity and obesity-related conditions.
Responsibilities
- Providing clinical/scientific knowledge into the development, design, delivery, and communication of the global evidence generation plan for multiple metabolic assets.
- Planning, providing input and guidance to clinical trials design and implementation.
- Supporting cross-functional and global collaborations.
- Participating and providing clinical input into safety and regulatory interactions.
- Acting as medical monitor during clinical trials execution.
- Interpreting and communicating clinical trial data.
- Overseeing the authoring of clinical study reports, publications, and regulatory submissions.
- Developing relationships with key opinion leaders and making scientific presentations.
- Providing clinical content input to Scientific Affairs and Commercial Organization.
- Contributing to target product profile and Global Product Safety development.
- Creating development options and presenting to Global Dev Review Committee and Therapeutic Area Governance.
- Interacting with TA leadership and extended team to develop strategy options.
- Collaborating with various centers to bring innovative later development options.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- 2 years of clinical research experience and/or basic science research.
- Preferably 5 years in biopharmaceutical industry in obesity or related conditions.
- 8 years combined clinical research and clinical teaching/patient care.
- Experience overseeing late phase evidence generation.
- Regulatory interaction experience.
- Strong clinical development experience in endocrinology.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and regulatory guidelines.
- Leadership experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
