Role: Field-based Clinical Research Associate (CRA) responsible for site monitoring and study delivery within AstraZeneca's clinical trials, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region. Objectives include ensuring site compliance with ICH-GCP, local regulations, and study protocols, supporting study initiation, conduct, and closure. Responsibilities involve site qualification, investigator training, remote and onsite monitoring (including SDR and SDV), managing study documentation, and supporting audit readiness. Additional duties may include assisting with regulatory submissions and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Medical Science Liaisons. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or related field; at least 3 years of CRA experience in pharma, biotech, or CRO; strong knowledge of GCP, local regulations, and trial management; excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills; ability to travel nationally/internationally. Preferred: experience in Cell Therapy, risk-based monitoring, remote monitoring, and working in global teams. The role demands attention to detail, problem-solving, adaptability, and proficiency with clinical systems. The position offers opportunities for advancement, with longer-tenure CRAs potentially taking on LSAD responsibilities. The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on compliance, quality, and collaboration in a clinical development setting.
