What You’ll Do
The Clinical Trial Educator (CTE) provides a high-touch service to clinical study investigators and site research teams by proactively increasing study/data quality and identifying/mitigating operational risks. Keeps studies “top of mind” with sites, guides complex procedures, and serves as a key Sponsor point-of-contact for Principal Investigators and site research staff. Continuously optimizes execution to ensure robust protocol adherence, GCP compliance, and high-quality, timely data collection.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clinical knowledge of the therapeutic area (treatment strategies, competitors, new developments).
- Build collaborative relationships with therapeutic area experts, investigators, and institutions; serve as a key contact for investigative sites.
- Coordinate/optimize educational and research support for sites/investigators; create/contribute to study documents as needed.
- Evaluate enrollment status by site; ensure patient compliance and study completion.
- Provide “white glove” oversight of key study procedures (e.g., screening), ensuring understanding and proper guidance.
- Identify and communicate study issues/insights to appropriate departments; assist sites and CROs with troubleshooting (start-up, maintenance support, endpoint support via training).
- Participate in medical education for healthcare professionals as requested (presentations, investigator meetings, etc.).
- May assist with CRA monitoring oversight as needed.
Where You’ll Work
- U.S.-based remote role with periodic visits to the San Francisco Office.
Qualifications / Required
- BA/BS or MA/MS in biological/medical field (or relevant experience); advanced degree/clinical background preferred.
- Minimum 10 years relevant clinical experience (pharma/biotech/CRO), including at least 5 years in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, GCP, GCDMP, and ICH guidelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Clear scientific curiosity and interest in drug development.
- Passion for helping patients.
- Travel: 20%.
