Role Summary

The Clinical Nurse Educator will be an essential role within the UroGen field organization. The CNE educates HCPs and pharmacists regarding UroGen’s product safety and efficacy, proper utilization, and follow-up recommendations. The CNE will be part of the sales team, coordinating with Managers on priority accounts and pull-through activities, and will assist in training new sales professionals.

Responsibilities

  • The CNE assists practices in understanding the safety and efficacy profile of company products, proper utilization, including handling procedure-related materials, instillation procedure education and training, patient selection criteria, and side effect management education.
  • The CNE provides non-CME educational programs designed by UroGen to practices and organizations.
  • The CNE may assist with initial setup of office-delivered patient education materials disseminated by UroGen (direct patient/CNE interactions are not anticipated).
  • The CNE serves as the medical information expert on the sales team in each region.
  • The CNE addresses issues and questions regarding UroGen’s product(s).
  • The CNE maintains accurate records of accounts visited and topics discussed.
  • Collaborates with Sales Managers to develop and maintain a targeted business plan and regional execution database.
  • Travel up to 60% is required.
  • Attends medical and nursing meetings at national and local levels, including weekend coverage as needed.
  • Book travel and hotels as needed while in the field.
  • Prepare expense reports for all business-related expenses at least every two weeks.

Qualifications

  • Required: Minimum B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent
  • Required: Registered Nurse license
  • Required: Active health care license in at least one state in the territory covered
  • Required: Minimum 3 years clinical experience in critical care
  • Required: Over 5 years of experience in CNE
  • Required: Solid interpersonal skills and ability to lead without direct authority
  • Required: Valid driver’s license
  • Required: Ability to travel up to 4 nights/week
  • Required: Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Preferred: Prior pharmaceutical or nursing experience
  • Preferred: Comfortable presenting to small and large groups
  • Preferred: Reside near an airport

Additional Requirements

  • Travel up to 60% of the time; weekend meetings may be required
