Role Summary

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be a key member of UroGen’s field organization, educating healthcare professionals and pharmacists on the safety, efficacy, and proper use of UroGen products. The CNE will collaborate with Sales Managers to identify priority accounts, support pull-through activities, and assist in training new sales professionals. This role may require travel and occasional weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

  • The CNE will assist practices in understanding the safety and efficacy profile of company products, proper utilization of UroGen’s product, including handling all materials related to the procedure, instillation procedure education and training, patient selection criteria, and side effect management education.
  • The CNE will provide non-CME educational programs (designed by UroGen) to practices and organizations.
  • The CNE may assist with initial setup of office-delivered patient education materials disseminated by UroGen (direct patient/CNE interactions are not anticipated in this role).
  • The CNE will be the medical information expert on the sales team in each region.
  • The CNE will address issues and questions regarding UroGen’s product(s).
  • The CNE will keep accurate records of accounts visited and items discussed.
  • Each CNE will collaborate with the Sales Managers to develop and maintain a targeted business plan and database for execution for that region.
  • Up to 60% travel will be required.
  • There will be medical and nursing meetings at national and local levels requiring weekend coverage.
  • Each CNE will be responsible for booking travel and hotel stays needed while in the field.
  • Each CNE will be responsible for submitting an expense report for all business-related expenses on a biweekly to monthly basis.

Qualifications

  • Required: Minimum requirement B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent
  • Required: Registered Nurse license
  • Required: An active health care license in at least one state in the territory covered
  • Required: A minimum of 3 years clinical experience in critical care
  • Required: Over 5 years of experience in CNE
  • Required: Solid interpersonal skills and ability to lead without influence
  • Required: Valid driver’s license
  • Required: Ability to travel up to 4 nights/week
  • Required: Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Preferred: Prior pharmaceutical or nursing experience
  • Preferred: Comfortable giving presentations to both small and large groups
  • Preferred: Live near airport

Education

  • Minimum requirement B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent
  • Registered Nurse license
