Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Molecular Genetics

Role: Laboratory Technologist responsible for performing routine and complex testing procedures, ensuring specimen acceptability, troubleshooting instrumentation, and reporting accurate results to support patient care. Responsibilities include reagent preparation, quality control, preventive maintenance, and specimen processing, all within a regulated laboratory environment. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; 1+ year of lab testing experience or MLS certification; proficient in computer systems; strong attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team; pass a color vision screen. Preferred qualifications: ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: Clinical laboratory testing in a regulated, GxP setting; work in a microbiology or clinical chemistry context; experience with laboratory information systems. Work setup: Night shift (Monday-Thursday, 11 pm-9:30 am) at RTP, NC; flexible with overtime and shift adjustments.
