Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology

Role: Laboratory Technologist responsible for specimen testing, technical procedures, instrumentation troubleshooting, reagent evaluation, and quality control to ensure accurate patient results. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, preparing reagents, maintaining documentation, and assisting with specimen processing, all within a clinical lab setting. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; Louisiana State License; proficient in laboratory operations, with strong attention to detail and teamwork skills. Preferred: 3+ months of clinical testing experience, ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: Clinical laboratory, routine and complex testing, high-volume environment, laboratory information systems. Work setup: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with rotating weekends; physical requirements and flexibility to work overtime.
