Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology

Role: Laboratory Technologist responsible for performing clinical microbiology testing, specimen evaluation, instrument operation, troubleshooting, and quality control in a high-volume diagnostic lab. Objectives include ensuring accurate, timely test results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass specimen acceptance, executing complex procedures per SOPs, preparing reagents, maintaining equipment, and assisting with specimen processing. Qualifications: Bachelor's in a chemical, biological, or medical science; 1+ year lab testing experience in microbiology or MLS degree. Preferred: 3+ months testing experience, ASCP or AMT certification. High-value: Microbiology, clinical diagnostics, laboratory operations, quality assurance, and use of lab information systems. The role involves working in a high-volume, potentially high-pressure environment, with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 3:00PM-11:30PM, rotating weekends and holidays, based in Dublin, OH. Candidates must pass a color blindness test and be flexible for overtime or shift changes.
