Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Cytogenetics (FISH)

Role: Cytogenetics (FISH) Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting, performing tissue culture, FISH processing, karyotyping, and related procedures to support genetic testing. Responsibilities: execute routine and complex cytogenetic tests, monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation, prepare reagents, ensure specimen quality, document quality control, and report accurate results for patient care. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological science, or Medical Technology; at least 1 year of clinical lab experience or MLS degree; proficiency with laboratory information systems. Preferred qualifications include 3+ months of cytogenetic/FISH testing, and certification by NCA in Cytogenetics (CLSp-CG), ASCP or AMT. High-value: cytogenetics/FISH, clinical laboratory, high-volume environment, experience with molecular cytogenetics preferred. Work setup: full-time, Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, in Brentwood, TN; OT flexibility may be required.
