Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Cytogenetics (FISH)

Role: Cytogenetics (FISH) Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting, performing routine and complex cytogenetic procedures including tissue culture, FISH processing, and karyotyping. Responsibilities: ensure specimen acceptability, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, prepare and evaluate reagents, report accurate results, and maintain quality control and safety protocols. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or MLS; 1+ year clinical lab experience or specific cytogenetics certification. Preferred: ≥3 months cytogenetics/FISH experience, NCA Cytogenetics certification (CLSp-CG), and ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: wet lab work in cytogenetics with FISH, karyotyping, and high-volume lab operations; familiarity with lab information systems; attention to detail. Work setup: in Brentwood, TN, Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 am-5:30 pm; flexibility for overtime or shift adjustments.
