Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Core Lab

Role: Laboratory Technologist performing routine and complex testing in a clinical lab setting at UT Knoxville Medical Center. Objectives include ensuring specimen acceptability, accurate test performance, instrument troubleshooting, and timely reporting of results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass specimen processing, quality control, reagent testing, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's in a chemical, biological, or medical technology field; 1+ year clinical testing experience or MLS degree; proficiency with laboratory information systems; and ability to work independently and in high-volume environments. Preferred: 3+ months testing experience, ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: Clinical laboratory testing, specimen handling, quality assurance, and instrumentation troubleshooting in a high-volume hospital lab. Work setup: Rotating two-week schedule with early morning hours; physical capability and flexibility to work overtime or shifts; location in Knoxville, TN.
