Role: Laboratory Technologist responsible for performing routine and complex clinical testing to support diagnostic services. Objectives include ensuring specimen acceptability, operating and troubleshooting instruments, preparing reagents, and delivering accurate test results to improve patient care. Responsibilities encompass specimen processing, quality control, preventative maintenance, and maintaining a safe work environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; at least 1 year of clinical testing experience or MLS certification; proficiency with laboratory information systems; strong attention to detail and communication skills. Preferred: 3+ months of testing experience, ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: Clinical laboratory setting, high-volume environment, specimen testing, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and adherence to CLIA standards. Work setup: onsite in Birmingham, AL, with schedule TuesdayβSaturday, 8:30 amβ5:00 pm; flexibility for overtime or shift changes.
