Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Role: Laboratory Technologist responsible for performing routine and complex testing procedures, monitoring instrumentation, and ensuring quality control in a clinical laboratory setting at Lowell General Hospital. Primary objectives include delivering accurate test results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to safety and procedural standards. Responsibilities encompass specimen evaluation, troubleshooting instrumentation, preparing reagents, and supporting specimen processing. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, or related science, with at least 1 year of clinical testing experience or MLS certification; preferred candidates have 3+ months of experience and ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: Clinical laboratory testing, work in high-volume hospital environment, adherence to CLIA standards, proficiency with laboratory information systems, and flexibility for shift work including weekends. The role requires independent and team work, attention to detail, and physical capacity for the position. Work setup: Monday–Friday, 6:30 am–3 pm, rotating weekends, with potential overtime and shift flexibility.
