Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Role: Clinical Laboratory Professional responsible for performing and overseeing routine and complex testing in a high-volume clinical lab setting. Objectives include ensuring specimen acceptability, accurate test execution, troubleshooting instrumentation, and timely reporting of results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass monitoring laboratory equipment, validating reagents, maintaining quality control, and assisting with specimen processing. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science, Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent; at least 1 year of clinical testing experience or MLS certification; proficiency in laboratory information systems and computer skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; passing a color blindness test; flexibility for overtime and shift work. Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: Operates within a regulated CLIA environment, performing vital diagnostic tests in a high-volume hospital setting; emphasis on accuracy, safety, and quality assurance. Work setup: On-site at Ascension Via Christi Hospital, Manhattan, KS, with rotating 3rd shifts and weekend coverage.
