Objectives include ensuring specimen acceptability, operating and troubleshooting lab instruments, maintaining quality control, and delivering accurate test results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass specimen processing, reagent testing, instrument maintenance, and complying with safety standards.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; preferred certification from ASCP or AMT. Prior experience with laboratory information systems, proficiency with computers, and strong attention to detail are required. Flexibility to work overtime, rotating shifts, and passing a color blindness test are also expected.
