Role: Laboratory Technician responsible for performing routine and complex testing procedures in a high-volume clinical laboratory setting. Objectives include ensuring specimen acceptability, accurate testing, troubleshooting instrumentation, and reporting timely results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass monitoring lab equipment, preparing reagents, maintaining quality control, and managing supplies. Requirements: Associateβs degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; 3+ months of lab testing experience preferred; proficiency with lab information systems and computer skills; ability to work independently and in team environments; passing color blindness tests; flexibility for shift work including overtime. Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: Focus on diagnostic testing in a clinical lab, with emphasis on high-volume specimen processing, quality assurance, and compliance with CLIA standards. Work setup: onsite in Mobile, AL, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week, including rotating weekends and holidays.
