Clinical Laboratory Technician

Role: Laboratory Technician responsible for performing routine and complex testing procedures in a high-volume clinical laboratory setting. Objectives include ensuring specimen acceptability, accurate test performance, instrument troubleshooting, reagent preparation, and timely reporting of results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass maintaining quality control, preventive maintenance, supply management, specimen processing, and adhering to safety standards. Requirements: Associate’s degree in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology field; 3+ months of lab testing experience preferred; certification such as ASCP or AMT desirable. High-value: clinical diagnostics, laboratory operations, high-volume testing environment, quality control, troubleshooting, and compliance with CLIA standards. Collaboration: team environment with an emphasis on independent work and procedural adherence. Work setup: night shift (Sunday-Tuesday, 7:00 pm - 7:30 am); physical requirements include handling lab equipment, PPE use, and passing a color blindness test. Additional details: familiarity with laboratory information systems, strong organizational skills, and flexibility for overtime or shift adjustments.
