Clinical Laboatory Supervisor I

Role: Clinical Laboratory Supervisor overseeing the daily operations of the Core Laboratory at UAB St. Vincent’s East Hospital. Objectives: ensure accurate test performance, timely reporting, and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities: supervise and mentor laboratory personnel, monitor workflow, manage staffing, troubleshoot errors, drive process improvements, maintain equipment through Quality Control, and oversee documentation and regulatory adherence. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a science field with 4+ years of laboratory technician experience; preferred Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of supervisory experience, and ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: clinical diagnostics, laboratory supervision, CLIA/CAP regulations, laboratory information systems, high-volume testing environment. Work setup: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, on-site at UAB St. Vincent’s East Hospital, with physical requirements and color vision test compliance.
