Clinical Lab Supervisor

Role: Laboratory Supervisor overseeing microbiology and parasitology testing, including AFB, stool-urine cultures, and occult blood, in a clinical diagnostics setting. Responsibilities: supervise daily lab operations, ensure test accuracy and timely reporting, train and mentor staff, manage workflow and staffing, troubleshoot errors, maintain quality and compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations, oversee equipment and documentation, perform administrative tasks, and conduct bench work as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; at least 2 years of technologist experience; proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office; strong regulatory knowledge; excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Preferred: prior Labcorp experience; 1+ year in microbiology, parasitology, and culture processing; ASCP or AMT certification. High-Value: focus on infectious disease diagnostics, microbiology, CLIA/CAP regulations, and leadership of a microbiology-focused team. Work setup: onsite in Phoenix, AZ, with Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm schedule.
