Role Summary

Clinical Integrated Business Operations Leader (IBOL)-Global Budget Manager- Vaccines. Location: Swiftwater, PA. The IBOL is a key leader in resource and financial data analysis for Global Clinical Development, focusing on cost estimation for clinical trials and developing fit-for-purpose tools to support data-driven decision making within the vaccine portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned business office data end-to-end related to resources and financial budget, with a focus on costs.
  • Generate cost estimates for clinical trials using operational trial experience, scientific knowledge in vaccines/immunology/infectious disease, Grant Plan and internal tools (Excel, PowerBI), and rigorous Business Office standards.
  • Edit, quality control, and maintain cost data in tools (RDPM/Planisware and OneCASA).
  • Analyze data holistically, understanding impact on and connection to the vaccine portfolio, GCD, and R&D; conduct reviews with stakeholders and challenge them as appropriate.
  • Infuse technical, data, and clinical business expertise into analyses and advice; manage moderately non-standard, complex analyses and simulations.
  • Apply digital mindset and develop fit-for-purpose tools to transform raw planning data into accurate, usable outputs; maintain tools and provide support (materials, training, continuous improvement, stakeholder feedback).
  • Lead independent management of assigned Business Office processes; drive rolling forecast reviews, data consolidation, and financial preparations for projects and platforms.
  • Mentor and manage non-permanent resources; participate in transversal teams; support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of processes and data with relevant stakeholders; analyze results and implement improvements as needed.

Qualifications

  • Data modeling and visualization development; proficiency in Excel, Power Query, and either Power BI or Tableau is mandatory.
  • Clinical Trial operational experience; experience in conducting clinical trials (vaccines preferred); >2 years preferred.
  • Financial analysis experience with compilation, analysis, and presentation of financial data.
  • Some level of scientific background preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in biological science, computer science, or finance is acceptable with the appropriate experience.

Skills

  • Advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI/Tableau.
  • Data analysis, budgeting, cost estimation, and financial modeling for clinical trials.
  • Process leadership, stakeholder management, and mentorship.
  • Data visualization and tool development for complex datasets.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, Computer Science, or Finance (or equivalent experience as outlined).

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel or relocate as needed to Swiftwater, PA or Marcy-L’ Etoile per policy.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to present data to stakeholders at multiple levels.
