Clinical Director (Principal Scientist) – Oncology (Hematology)

Role Responsibilities
- Plan clinical trials based on clinical development strategy.
- Provide medical oversight and ensure conduct of ongoing/new clinical trials for investigational or marketed drugs.
- Analyze/summarize clinical findings to support safety/efficacy decisions, regulatory submissions, clinical study reports, and publications.
- Participate in internal and internal/external research project teams for new compounds and marketed compounds.
- Support business development assessments of external opportunities.
- Engage cross-functionally (e.g., commercialization, regulatory affairs, statistics, manufacturing) to manage clinical development projects.
- Provide expert scientific input internally/externally.
- Maintain scientific knowledge; identify investigators; establish investigator communications; attend scientific meetings.
- Author development documents/presentations/budgets/position papers; facilitate global collaborations.
- Travel ~20% to manage future/ongoing clinical research.

Education
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.

Required Experience/Skills
- Industry or senior faculty academia experience.
- 3+ years clinical medicine experience.
- 1+ year industry drug development or academia biomedical research experience.
- Record of scientific scholarship/achievement; proven clinical medicine and biomedical research background.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills; team environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills
- Board Certified or Eligible in Oncology, Hematology, or related discipline.
- Prior clinical research experience and publication.
