Role Summary
The Clinical Digital Acceleration & Innovation Lead is a strategic partner overseeing the integration of AI and digital solutions into clinical development. This role shapes the digital transformation roadmap in alignment with the global program, connects CSO with broader functions, and uses competitive intelligence to inform decisions. It requires deep expertise in digital and AI within clinical development, strong program management, and the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders to drive modernization and transformative clinical innovation.
Responsibilities
- Digital transformation roadmap: Shape initiatives translating vision and priorities into actionable programs, accelerating innovation and improving clinical development outcomes.
- Partner with Digital and operational teams to implement AI technologies and identify opportunities for scale-up (CSO 2030).
- Identify innovation opportunities and orchestrate prototyping initiatives with appropriate groups.
- Contribution to iPMO: Develop guidelines, coach project teams, and support governance and decision-making processes.
- Transformation Project Leadership: Lead high-impact transformation projects with a focus on business value, cost optimization, and KPI delivery.
- Define implementation strategies and roadmaps; ensure timely delivery; oversee performance and risk management.
- CSO Digital & AI Capability Building: Upskill teams in Digital and AI; identify skill gaps and learning strategies; conduct competitive intelligence; influence tool and product strategy; support adoption and change management; prioritize business-driven requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Co-lead innovation workshops; build strategic partnerships beyond CSO; act as a bridge between technical and business teams; ensure visibility through communications and events.
Qualifications
- Required: Expertise in Digital and AI technologies and their application in clinical development; strong program management capabilities; experience leading digital transformation initiatives; strategic thinking and leadership; ability to balance strategic insight with practical execution.
- Required: Experience in agile methodologies and driving measurable business impact; GenAI advanced prompting capabilities.
- Preferred: Experience with Jira and Canva.

Education
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering (AI/ML focus); MBA preferred.
- 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5+ years in digital transformation initiatives and leading AI/digital projects in healthcare/pharma; program management with measurable business impact; experience building strategic partnerships across functions.
