Job Summary:
The Senior Medical Director provides clinical development expertise for late-stage thoracic oncology clinical trials, including oversight of trial design, conduct, and analysis, and may supervise other (associate) medical directors. Works with regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, biostatistics, and medical affairs to meet scientific, ethical, and regulatory standards. Provides medical expertise to clinical operations, investigators, and external stakeholders (health authorities, ethics committees, patient advocacy groups).

Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical monitoring: eligibility assessment, data review, safety monitoring.
- Lead peer-to-peer interactions with investigators.
- Serve as point of contact for clinical issues between study team, investigators, ethics committees, steering committees, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead and contribute to development/maintenance of clinical trial and regulatory documents with Clinical Scientist and cross-functional team.
- Serve on the Clinical Subteam of the Global Product Team (GPT) to execute clinical development strategies.
- Represent the company in external engagements (advisory boards, health authority interactions).
- Review and interpret clinical data; communicate key findings and implications.
- Stay current on literature/guidelines to advise and drive current/future clinical development plans.

Qualifications:
- Medical degree required.
- 5+ years industry experience required.
- Clinical Development experience required.
- MQI: primary medical degree (MD/DO/MBBS/MBChB) from recognized institution.
- Licensed to prescribe independently for at least 2 years post intern/house officer/foundation period.

Preferred:
- Late-stage clinical development; Thoracic Oncology experience.
- Board certified/eligible in oncology (or equivalent).
- Current registration/medical license in good standing.
