Job Summary
The Medical Director provides Clinical Development leadership and expertise on clinical trials, overseeing the design, conduct, and analysis within the PF 4404 program. Partners with regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, biostatistics, and medical affairs to ensure scientific, ethical, and regulatory standards, and provides guidance to clinical operations, investigators, and external stakeholders (health authorities, ethics committees, patient advocacy groups).
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Clinical Scientist(s) to provide clinical leadership across 2β3 study team(s).
- Conduct medical monitoring: eligibility assessment, data review, safety monitoring.
- Lead peer-to-peer interactions with investigators.
- Serve as point of contact for clinical issues across study team, investigators, ethics/steering committees, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead/contribute to development and maintenance of clinical trial and regulatory documents.
- Review and interpret clinical data; identify key findings and implications; communicate to stakeholders.
- Stay current on literature, guidelines, and developments to advise and drive clinical development plans.
Basic Qualifications
- Primary medical degree (MD/DO/MBBS/MBChB) and 4+ years of experience.
- Licensed to prescribe medicines independently for at least 2 years post training.
Work/Travel
- Travel ~4 times/year; hybrid role (on-site ~2.5 days/week) within commuting distance.
- Salary range: $239,900β$399,800; bonus target 25% and eligibility for long-term incentive; comprehensive benefits including health coverage and 401(k).
