Summary/Job Purpose:
Lead and execute early/late stage clinical trials for oncology products in development. Participate in clinical study design/planning and interpretation of results. Establish/approve scientific methods for clinical protocols, data collection systems, and final reports. May recruit clinical investigators. Ensure adverse event reporting, safety monitoring, protocol adherence, and study completion.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Design, prepare, and initiate study protocols and required documentation in compliance with project plans, federal regulations, GCP, and good medical practice.
- Act as medical monitor for company sponsored trials.
- Support project teams with therapeutic-area specific information.
- Collaborate with internal safety group to analyze and report safety data.
- Analyze/interpret clinical trial data; prepare reports for regulatory agencies and publications.
- Interact with key opinion leaders and investigators.
- Ensure consistency of scientific/development strategies for oncology products.
- Maintain highest level of scientific/clinical knowledge in relevant disease area.

Education/Experience:
- MD required (board certification/eligibility in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology desirable but not essential), minimum 5 years post-residency experience; or equivalent education/experience.
- Drug development experience (biotech/pharma; academia+industry acceptable).
- Hands-on controlled oncology trial design, execution, and reporting.
- Experience with molecular targeted or immunological therapies.
- Basic science understanding relevant to clinical oncology.

Knowledge/Skills:
- Cross-functional/matrix effectiveness; independent judgment; solution development for complex problems.
- Relationship building with key opinion leaders; strong interpersonal, influencing, presentation, and communication; strong organization/time management.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Base pay range: $254,500–$361,000 annually; plus 401(k) contributions, medical/dental/vision, life/disability, flexible spending accounts, discretionary annual bonus (or sales incentive for field sales), stock purchase, long-term incentives, vacation/holidays, sick days.
