Chief Scientific Officer

Role: Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) providing strategic scientific leadership for Travere Therapeutics' research and technical operations, with a focus on rare disease therapies. Responsibilities: shape long-term scientific and innovation strategies, oversee research and technical teams, evaluate emerging science and external partnerships, and represent the company's scientific vision externally. Lead portfolio prioritization, scientific due diligence, and organizational development across discovery through commercialization, emphasizing nephrology, immunology, and metabolic rare diseases. Requirements: M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent; 17+ years in biotech/pharma leadership, with strong rare disease expertise; proven success in research translation, innovation, and external collaboration; experience in CMC, manufacturing, biologics, small molecules, and emerging modalities.
