Chemical Manufacturing Technician I - API Manufacturing

Role: Operate chemical API manufacturing equipment in a pharmaceutical setting to meet production targets within GMP and safety standards. Responsibilities: manage inventories, follow SOPs and GMP documentation, perform batch record reviews, setup and monitor automated processes, handle hazardous materials with oversight, perform equipment setup and troubleshooting, participate in environmental monitoring and safety procedures, and assist in deviations and maintenance activities. Preferred: API manufacturing experience, expertise in large-scale reactor operations, process troubleshooting, safety systems (PSM, LOTO), and automation tools like DeltaV. High-value specifics include focus on pharmaceutical API production, compliance with cGMP, working with highly hazardous chemicals, and operating in controlled environments. The role reports to a Shift Supervisor and API Operations Area Lead, with physical requirements supporting extended standing, manual equipment handling, and working with hazardous materials. The position is based at the Petersburg, Virginia site, with potential for working in extreme environments and handling specialized equipment.
