Role: Support chemical plant operations as a Chemical Engineering Co-op within Bayer's Crop Science division, focusing on process control, material handling, and safety compliance. Responsibilities include assisting in the design, installation, and start-up of automation systems; developing project scope and specifications; ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards; contributing to maintenance and reliability improvement efforts; and supporting procurement and cost analysis activities. Collaborate with engineering and production teams on troubleshooting and process optimization, as well as operational excellence initiatives. Requirements: Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering, with at least sophomore standing; able to work 40 hours/week, physically capable of climbing and working in a plant environment; available for a 6-month co-op in Spring or Fall 2027. Preferred qualifications include a minimum GPA of 3.0 and proficiency in Microsoft Office. High-Value: Experience in chemical processing, safety standards (OSHA/EPA), plant operations, and process troubleshooting. Location: Luling, LA; work involves on-site presence in a chemical manufacturing setting.
