Chemical Engineering Co-Op

Role: Develop and evaluate workflows for data analysis applications to support bioprocess understanding, monitoring, and optimization in process development and GMP manufacturing within the biopharma industry. Responsibilities: design, test, and document software tools; utilize machine learning and advanced statistical methods; develop data workflows for mining, pre-processing, and visualization; support data mining from IT systems; collaborate with data scientists on process monitoring and root cause analysis; communicate findings and document outcomes. Requirements: enrolled in or hold a PhD or undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math, or (Bio)Statistics; strong programming skills in Python, R, etc.; good communication and teamwork abilities; problem-solving skills; interest in machine learning; familiarity with cloud platforms preferred.
