Certifying Scientist

Role: Certifying Scientist responsible for certifying and releasing drug test results in a high-volume laboratory setting. Objectives include performing certification review of GC/MS, LC/MS/MS, and GC/FID data, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with SOPs, CLIA, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities encompass data entry, verification of chain of custody, troubleshooting quality control issues, and participating in audits. Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology with 1+ years of clinical testing experience; or Bachelor's with 2+ years in clinical testing; experience with chromatography, mass spectrometry, and laboratory information systems preferred. Additional standards include understanding lab operations, ability to work independently and in teams, attention to detail, and passing color blindness tests. High-value biopharma specifics: experience in toxicology, chromatography, and mass spectrometry; familiarity with CLIA standards; supporting regulatory compliance and quality assurance in drug testing. Work setup: night shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 pm–6:30 am) with shift differential; physical requirements and overtime flexibility applicable.
